Can my toddler ride a scooter?

Yes, when you add the toddler seat to the i-Glide 3-wheel scooter, it makes the scooter suitable for kids as young as 18-months.

What age range is the 3-wheel scooter suitable for?

i-Glide 3-wheel scooters are designed for children aged 2 to 6, but can still be ridden by older children and even some adults (up to 50kgs in weight).

Unlike other brands, we have designed this scooter to be perfectly suitable for a wide age range, because we believe in value for money and sustainability. By designing a scooter that covers such a wide age range, there is no need to buy a “mini” or a “maxi” version. Save money and be kinder to the environment, by getting years of fun from your i-Glide. Our scooter is light enough for a toddler to ride, but strong and durable enough to sustain regular use over many years as the child grows. The adjustable height handle bars also mean this scooter is suitable for any child from 70cm to 130cm tall.

By adding the toddler seat (an optional accessory), the i-Glide can be used by a child as young as 18 months of age.

Should I choose a 2 or 3 wheeled scooter?

A 3-wheel scooter is a fantastic way for younger kids to learn balance and co-ordination skills.

Due to the lean-to-steer mechanism, your child will not bore of the experience of riding a 3-wheel scooter, because they can increase the fun by improving their cornering skills or by pushing a little harder with their feet to go faster. So, whilst it is tempting to move your child to a 2-wheel scooter early, our experience is that kids will sometimes gravitate back to their 3-wheeler for many years even after moving onto their 2-wheeler, as it gives them a completely different sense of fun.

A 2-wheel scooter becomes more enjoyable for a child when they want to use the scooter for longer rides or when they want to go a bit faster. This transition from 3-wheel to 2-wheel normally occurs from ages 4yrs to 8yrs, depending on the child’s confidence and capability.

What age group is a Trampoline Scooter suitable for?

The trampoline scooter is a great new product from i-Glide. It is suitable for use on a trampoline or on a flat surface (e.g. grass) or indoors. It is designed for ages 5 to 18, and can be used as a training tool for those who want to progress their tricks on a scooter, or it can just to add a new layer of fun on the trampoline.

Is the commuter scooter suitable for my teenager?

The commuter scooter is a great all-round scooter. As the name suggests, it is ideal for longer more cruisy rides, so many adults and teenagers use this scooter for getting to and from work or school. The larger wheels make it comfortable for longer distance rides, and also allow it to go a bit faster to cover that commute quicker.

With the adjustable height handlebars and generous foot-space, the commuter scooter is suitable for anybody from age 8 and upwards.
